On September 20 this year, the Hong Kong City Choir will hold a concert of “Salute To Masters Series II” at the Concert Hall of the Hong Kong Cultural Centre.

Last year, the first concert has gained a great success. A lot of young audience experienced the art and cultural atmosphere of the thirties of last century from the works of two Hong Kong musical predecessors.

The concert this year will put the choral works of masters such as Huang Zi, Qing Zhu, Liu Xuean, Chiang Wen-Yeh, He Luting, Chao Yuen Ren onto the stage.
Our choir will also sing some selected songs from musicals as well:

3. CIRCLE OF LIFE from ‘LION KING’

5. SOME ENCHANTED EVENING from ‘SOUTH PACIFIC’
6. SOMEWHERE from ‘WEST SIDE STORY’
7. TEA FOR TWO from ‘TEA FOR TWO’
8. SUMMERTIME from ‘PORGY AND BESS’
9. EDELWEISS from ‘THE SOUND OF MUSIC’
10. HI-LILI, HI-LO from ‘LILI’

We believe that this concert will be popular with the general public, just like the first one held last year! Let us learn from the music and pursue the footprints of our national real choral music masters!
